Corrections policy

The record should show its revisions.

Errors are corrected openly. Method changes are versioned. Neither is hidden behind a silently updated score.

What we correct

We correct factual errors, entity-matching mistakes, duplicated or omitted observations, calculation errors, broken citations, and descriptions that materially misstate what the data supports.

What a correction contains

  • The original publication or result.
  • The affected fact, observation, or calculation.
  • What changed and why.
  • The date of the correction.
  • Whether rankings or conclusions changed materially.

Methodology revisions

A new scoring rule or material change in prompt design receives a new methodology version. Historical releases remain labeled with the method used at the time. We do not retroactively describe old results as if they were produced by a newer method.

Company responses

A company may submit evidence of an error or provide relevant context. Responses are evaluated on their merits. A commercial relationship, threat, compliment, or request for preferred treatment does not change the standard.
