Website analytics
The site uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate page views, referrers, device categories, broad geography, and clicks on public dataset downloads and general or research inquiry links. Click events record only the public dataset, inquiry category, and a bounded destination and known source page; they do not record email subjects, message bodies, or URL query strings. A click does not establish that a file was saved or a message sent. Analytics is designed without third-party cookies and does not provide Benchmark Bureau with a reconstructable cross-site browsing history.
Information you send
If you contact us by email or submit the commercial inquiry form, we receive the contact information and message you provide. The inquiry form asks for your name, work email, company, and business question. We use this information to evaluate and respond to the inquiry and maintain an appropriate business record. Do not send confidential customer data, case details, medical information, credentials, payment information, or unnecessary personal data.
Inquiry delivery and abuse prevention
When the inquiry form is enabled, Resend processes the submitted information to deliver a transactional notification to Benchmark Bureau. Cloudflare Turnstile processes technical signals and a short-lived verification token to reduce automated abuse. Vercel may apply request-rate controls at the application edge. Inquiry names, email addresses, company names, and message text are not sent to website analytics.
Retention
Commercial inquiries are retained in the receiving business mailbox and relevant delivery diagnostics only while needed to evaluate the request, respond, maintain an appropriate business record, or meet legal obligations. A separate customer system of record will not be created during the initial design-partner stage merely for marketing convenience.
Research data
Public-company names, websites, citations, and AI-generated responses may be retained as research observations. The initial research program is not designed to collect sensitive personal information about consumers.
Service providers
Infrastructure providers may process data necessary to operate and secure the site. Providers include Google Workspace for business email; Cloudflare for DNS and form-abuse verification; Vercel for hosting, analytics, and request controls; Resend for transactional inquiry delivery when the form is enabled; GitHub for source control; and Namecheap for domain registration.
Changes
This notice will be revised before the site collects accounts, subscriptions, or other new categories of personal information.
